Shakespeare’s Monsters: Shylock & Caliban

In this seminar, participants will study two of Shakespeare’s greatest plays: “The Merchant of Venice” and “The Tempest.” Special attention will be paid to Shylock and Caliban — two social outsiders who are also the only characters in Shakespeare who wear gaberdine.
